The Man with the hat is back...For one more adventure.
...And Harrison Ford has announced that Indiana Jones 4 will indeed be produced. Which is a good thing in a way because they won't need Sean Connery this time. It seems that Harrison is now old enough to play Indiana Jones...and his father-Jay Leno
Finally, after fighting off the demons of Development Hell, Indy 4 is finally being made. Star Wars is done. War of the Worlds is done. Vengence will be complete by the end of the year and Speilberg has said that he plans to "begin principle shooting next year for a 2007 release". While nothing is known about the script really, what we do know is this:
1. Indy will have aged with time, no turning back time.
2. The movie will have "A Supernatural Experience" (Think of Raiders) according to Lucas.
Rumored Scripts (All fan ideas now, since we know the general idea that the REAL script will take place in the late 1940s/Early 1950s:
1. Atlantis-this, hands down, is the heavy favorite for the fourth installment, even though this territory has already been visited in the LucasArts computer game "Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis." Ideas vary but rumors have Jones racing to disarm a device responsible for the destruction of Atlantis.
2. Noah's Ark: Another fan favorite with Indy trying to get at something valuable onboard the Ark. (Still, wouldn't happen, Indiana Jones and the Genesis Deluge)
Garden of Eden: Spielberg has apparently said at one point that Indy IV would have "something to do with Adam and Eve."
3. Oh, Brother Where Art Thou?: A plotline where Indy's evil brother re-surfaces also hoping to find the whereabouts of the Lost Ark.
4. King Arthur Connection: Indy is on a quest to find the mythical sword of King Arthur-Excalibur-and has run-ins with the Knights of the Round Table.
5. The Revenge of Belloq: He's back... The rival archeologist of Raiders of the Lost Ark (originally played by Paul Freeman) returns with revenge on his mind. Him? yeah, right...
6. Hitler's Hot Stash: Storyline where Indy seeks to recover valuable artifacts spirited away from their rightful owners by the Nazis.
7. And in the Outta Control Dept: Indy recovering a Nazi submarine, something involving the Dead Sea Scrolls, a John Hughes script set in a haunted house and a plot where Indy squares off with a rival professor named "Prof. Conrad."

MOVIE TITLES
1. Indiana Jones and the Lost Continent: The most heavily rumored title centered around the search for the lost city of Atlantis.
2. Indiana Jones and the Forbidden Treasure: Title for Noah's Ark adventure
3. Indiana Jones and the Garden of Life: For the Garden of Eden storyline.
4. Indiana Jones and the Red Scare: For a story centering around treasures that mysteriously disappear from Hitler's bunker right after WWII.
5. Indiana Jones and the Sword of Arthur: A failed script written on spec, which you can view at: http://www.indyfan.com/fanfic/soascript.html
6. Indiana Jones and the Ultimate Destiny: Indy hopes to find Shangri-La.
As you can see, those are just a little amount of the scripts that have been leaked out, most fake, others? you decided, same with the titles. But another thing is that now Harrison Ford is in his mid or late 50s, early 60s would this effect his ablilty to repraise his role as the famous archeologist? He doesn't think so, "But we better get it done before I'm in a wheelchair" he says..

Rumor Mill:
The idea of Sean Connery coming back as his father is big, has been talked about as a possibility.Ford has gone on record as saying he hopes Sean Connery would return for the sequel
Short Round returning, wouldn't count on it now, he runs his own production studio....but you never know...
Marion or Willie coming back, this might have happened but Karen Allen was approched with this a while back and she shot it down like a duck in the hunting season by saying that she has never been approched about being cast in the movie.
The one that really got me was that Marcus Brody was coming back, unfornatly, he never will because he died a while back due a health issue, although it could be that someone might play him, no one can ever play Marcus as well as he did.
(Rumor): Willie will return in the next movie as either a camo or as the main girl in the movie.
Harrison Ford must be bored out of his mind talking about "Indiana Jones 4" cause we have even more quotes from him....Ford revealed that the film would be set in the 1950s. He also talked about the reteaming of him, George Lucas, and Steven Spielberg is only a small reunion of sorts. “It’s more like getting the Supremes back together. Everybody has there own separate projects and the main thing is time. Everybody’s got separate projects and we have a date and we have an idea and we’ll see how it happens… You know there are three players here whose expectations have to be met. George, Steven, myself. So if we can all agree on something I hope we’ll be able to do it.”

2. UPDATE ON THE DIRECTOR: Director Frank Darabont ("The Shawshank Redemption") talks to SCIFI Wire (http://www.scifi.com) about scripting the next "Indiana Jones" film, which is tentatively being prepped for a 2004 release (Obviously, this isnt the case). Regarding the baddies, Darabont says, "We're going to give you some good villains, let me just put it that way," he said. He also added that Steven Spielberg and George Lucas are allowing him to contribute his own ideas. "It winds up being a pretty good collaboration, a good exchange of ideas," he said. But, he added, "at the end of the day, I'll be writing what they ask me to. I'll be giving them the story that they want, so in that sense, I'm an employee. But a very excited and engaged employee. And what a fun project to work on."
3. Speaking of him he recently talked to Sci Fi Wire and said: that the sequel's 1950s setting requires different villains from those in previous installments, which were set in the 1930s. "Those pesky Nazis seem to have departed, which is a shame, because I like those pesky Nazis, because you can just squash them all over the place," Darabont said, with tongue in cheek. Darabont would not say who the new villains were, but assured that the tone of adventure would be consistent with previous Indy movies. "From the standpoint of the fun of it and the adventure of it, [there will be] no [change]," he said. Darabont added that he has nearly completed a first draft of the script and that director Steven Spielberg is happy with his progress. "The reaction has been quite good," he said. But the writer added that he is approaching the script one day at a time. "Right now, every day is like one foot in front of the other," he said. "It's 'How do I solve this next scene? How do I get this next three pages in its best form?
4.Word has it that the production crew is in Hawaii scouting for areas to film in Indy. Could this mean that Indy will be returning to Peru and the temple? Those of you who have played Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine know what Im talking about.
5. No thanks to Lucas, the movie has been put on hold once again. The reason? "He was unhappy with the script" (Im beginning to see why people dislike him so much.)
6. It looks like we may not see the movie until 2007 at the earliest
7. Variety is reporting that Harrison Ford is set to play one of the main characters in the first major film about the war in Iraw. The movie will be based on the true-life upcoming book "No True Glory: The Battle for Fallujah" due to be published next May. Ford will play Jim Mattis, the General who led the US assault on Fallujah following the murder of four Americans. The book is was written by Slate reporter Bing West. He will co-write the screenplay with is son Owen.
8. Ok Star Wars fans, your time in the spotlight is up. Now it's the archeaologist's time. Lucas has officially announced that he is currently working on Indy 4.
9. Spielberg has dispelled that Indiana Jones and the Opal of the Mer-Man Prince title for the movie that Harrison threw out there as a joke. Calista Flockhart apparently has an eye on playing the leading lady. Speilberg has also said that he will not give away the title or plot until near the release of the movie unless we want to see him "On a silver platter"
