Movie News:

Move aside Star Wars fans, your time in the spotlight is up now. Now, it's shining on the archeaologist! Lucas has stated that after Return of the Jedi and Vader dies, "There is no more story. I'm working on Indy 4 now".

Lucas has stated that Indy 4 will once again deal with the supernatural in some form.

Speilberg announced that he plans to begin principle shooting next year, which would set the movie up for a 2007 release.

The whole "Indiana Jones and the Opal of the Mer-Man Prince" was dispelled as a joke from Harrison by Speilberg recently.

It seems that Calista Flockhart has her eye on possibly getting the role as Indy's leading lady.

Lucas has said that he has been working on Indy for the past six years when not working on Star Wars, however, he now is focusing 100% on Indy 4.
Attraction News:

5/17/05: What's next? Simple, another day of shooting the movie. Epic isn't going anywhere and won't be affected by the new "E-Ticket" ride at the Studios.

UPDATE: 4/21/06
IGN: Since the release of the Xbox 360 and even more so with the approaching PS3 launch, there's been a hot debate regarding what qualifies as "next-gen." With all the added processing power, the next wave of consoles promises better graphics and enhanced sound, but what about gameplay? Though games get slicker production values, do they really play any differently than in the past? From what we've seen so far, the answer is no. We've seen a lot of products released for the Xbox 360 that don't differ much from what was possible on current gen, save for the bells and whistles. But with its upcoming Indiana Jones title, LucasArts may be onto something. Utilizing a run-time animation technology called euphoria, the game is poised to push the limits of what was previously possible. The company that developed the technology, NaturalMotion, has been working for years to hone euphoria to accurately replicate real-world physics such as strength, weight, and momentum with in-game character models. Whereas before, all animations had to be pre-programmed, euphoria allows for reactions and behaviors to occur in real-time -- allowing models to react realistically to whatever situation might arise. To be clear, euphoria is not an AI program, it's an animation technology that allows for physically accurate behaviors. The AI is programmed by the developer, in this case LucasArts, into the euphoria models to control them. What we saw at LucasArts was the marriage of euphoria physics and LucasArts A.I. scripts.

Indiana Jones is dusting off his trusty fedora and bullwhip for a new video game entry set for release on the next generation of gaming consoles in 2007. Announced today by LucasArts at E3, the as-yet-untitled game will take advantage of the cutting edge power, heightened artificial intelligence, and unprecedented realism of new game systems to tell a globe-spanning interactive Indy story unlike any other. Created internally by LucasArts, the game does not yet have a name, but it promises to have all the hallmarks of Indy's classic adventures. "As gaming consoles head into the next generation, so too do our development teams," said Jim Ward, President of LucasArts. "Our teams are truly embracing the incredible power of these systems, not only with amazing graphics but also, more importantly, with unforgettable story-driven adventures starring fascinating characters like Indiana Jones."
